After Mueller testimony: less Democrats support impeachment

According to a new poll released Thursday, support for impeachment among Democrats dropped after the testimony of special counsel Robert Mueller before Congress, reported Carlos Garcia at Blaze Media.

In contrast to what was expected, “The Hill and HarrisX polling showed that 67 percent of Democratic voters support impeachment, which is four points less than the percent that supported impeachment in May,” Garcia wrote.

Surprisingly, support for impeachment from Republicans actually rose, increasing from 9 percent in May to 17 percent after the July testimony. Impeachment support from Independents also rose from 26 percent to 35 percent.

According to another poll, support for impeachment remained the same as a whole.
