The Democrat infighting continues between the establishment and progressives, as pro-Clinton think tank president Neera Tanden and Nina Turner, the national co-chair of the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), clashed on Twitter Tuesday.
The fight began over Tanden’s critique of liberal actress Susan Sarandon who refused to vote for Clinton in 2016 and instead voted for a third candidate. Tanden said Sarandon caused Trump’s win, and later accused Turner of the same when she defended Sarandon. Over several tweets, the women went at each other with increasingly harsh insults, some ridden with foul language.
As Carlos Garcia at Blaze Media wrote, the infighting will only benefit President Trump — which is exactly the opposite of what either woman wants. “Whoever wins out in the end,” Garcia said, “it is certain to benefit the president if Democrats continue to bitterly fight each other.”
You have some nerve @neeratanden! It’s your area of expertise to start mess. Last time I checked, this is America and folks have a right to vote for who that want. Get off @SusanSarandon. She does not answer to you. https://t.co/aVMSYRsvEo
