On Monday author and radio host Mark Levin sat down for an exclusive interview with Rich Valdes for the “This Is America” podcast series. Commenting on the exoneration of President Trump in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report.
Levin cited wrongdoings by corrupt officials in the F.B.I and by the media. Levin noted that we must be judicious with our support for media that we know is malicious, in particular, the corporate conglomerates that run so many newsrooms in America today. A reference to the early printers and pamphleteers that served as the genesis of our free press. Notions he expounds upon in his new book: "Unfreedom of the Press."
According Amazon Levin highlights: "how the great tradition of the American free press has degenerated into a standardless profession that has squandered the faith and trust of the American public, not through actions of government officials, but through its own abandonment of reportorial integrity and objective journalism."
Freedom of the Press is our right, and the accountability of our press is our responsibility. As Gandhi said, we must be the change we want to see in the world. We must fight this fight where it’s happening, not just at the ballot box, but in our institutions. If you want to see a change in media you need to get into media so you can share your side of the story.
New Episodes of "This is America with Rich Valdes" are available every week on most podcast platforms.
