Gillibrand and Gender Bias

According to the latest 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary polls, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand hasn’t topped one percent in May. Gillibrand says her poor performance is due to gender bias.

Fox News reports Gillibrand made the accusation during a campaign trip to New Hampshire. “I think it's just gender bias. I think people are generally biased against women. I think also biased against young women,” Gillibrand explained to a CNN reporter. “Voters will give a woman a shot. They just have to get to know her.”

Gillibrand added that she thinks she expects her voter support might not increase “until October or November or December.”
