Iran says no War with U.S.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Leader of Iran told Iranian state television viewers that he did not want war with the U.S. His announcement comes after tensions have escalated between the two countries. Recently, the U.S deployed an aircraft carrier and B-52 bombers after Washington accused Iran of “sabotaging” commercial vessels near the United Arab Emirates.

“There won't be any war. The Iranian nation has chosen the path of resistance,” Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said according to The Daily Mail. “We don't seek war, and they don't either. They know it´s not in their interests.”

He also said Iran would not pursue any new nuclear agreements. In 2018, President Trump withdrew America from the 2015 Iran Nuclear agreement negotiated by the Obama administration.
