Man arrested for alleged online threats to Sanders rally

A California man was arrested on Monday because of allegedly posting a threat of violence against a Bernie Sanders 2020 rally scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Long Beach police said Jose Rafael Guzman, 27, of Huntington Park, was charged with criminal threats and threatening a public officer.

According to Fox News reporter Bradford Betz, “the details of the alleged threat were unclear. Police said they were notified about the threat by ‘a concerned community member.’” Betz also reported that Guzman was released from the Long Beach City jail after posting $50,000 bail.

Sanders' campaign told Fox News it would "not comment on matters of security."
