Pelosi rages against Facebook while owning $1M stock in the company

In a rage against Facebook for not removing a comic doctored video of her, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said Facebook has “proven” itself to be “willing enablers of the Russian interference in our election.”

But despite these words, Pelosi and her husband retain the stock in Facebook that they have been buying since 2012, Lukas Mikelionis of Fox News reported.

“Pelosi’s most recent fully detailed financial disclosure from 2017 shows that her current investment in Facebook is valued between $500,001 and $1,000,000,” Mikelionis wrote. “Periodic reports also reveal that Pelosi and her husband increased their investment in Facebook, purchasing long-term call options on the stock worth between $50,001 and $100,000 on July 27, 2018, and between 100,001 to $250,000 on October 9, 2018.”

While Pelosi claims to oppose the company, her money speaks otherwise, especially considering the nearly $100,000 she has also paid Facebook to run political ads on their platform.
