Premiered Nov 16, 2019
Why do Hispanic-Americans predominantly vote for left-leaning candidates, even though they actually tend to have more conservative values, in Rich Valdes’ view?
Why is access to a good education the most important factor to success? How has progressive ideology taken over higher education? And how is it that so many Americans embrace socialist and communist policies?
This is American Thought Leaders with Jan Jekielek. Today we sit down with conservative political commentator Rich Valdes, the associate producer and “Mr. Call Screener” of the Mark Levin Show. He shares his incredible journey from starting a business at sixteen, to founding a charter school, to working for Governor Chris Christie, to becoming host of the podcast “This is America.”
An entrepreneur and since 16 years old, Rich Valdés turned a hair cutting hobby in his dad’s apartment into an actual barbershop business as a senior at North Bergen High School. At 20 years old, Valdes leveraged his barbershop for the capital to fund a start-up in the retail wireless communications space.
