Squad vs. Speaker: Justice Democrats attack fellow Democrat Pelosi

After accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of racially targeting the four freshman Congresswomen who voted against the House’s humanitarian aid bill for detained aliens at the border, the Democrats’ infighting continues.

The political action committee (PAC) Justice Democrats proclaimed in an email to their supporters Thursday that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s "totally out-of-line lashing out at [their] squad continues."

Ellie Bufkin and Jerry Dunleavy at the Washington Examiner reported that the email “cited several instances in which Justice Democrats' star congresswomen [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] had been specifically singled out and shamed in recent days.”

According to Rich Valdés, Host of “This Is America” on WABCRadio.com,

“There are unconfirmed rumors coming from DC that the Speaker has set her sights on politically taking out AOC’s Chief , Saikat Chakrabarti, to push him out and hamper their fundraising efforts.”

The Justice Democrats email continued, “In a closed door meeting yesterday, Pelosi singled out the squad and their staffers, telling them to stop 'publicly attacking other members' and not to 'tweet about it,'" the email said.

The email also backed AOC’s claim that Pelosi is racist and “signed off with a call to action for their supporters to rebuke what ‘conservative Democrats’ like Pelosi had been doing,” Bufkin and Dunleavy wrote.

"Here’s our fundamental problem: there are 235 Democrats in the House, and 200 Republicans,” the email resolved. “That means that it only takes 18 Democrats to kill a bill, and get their way. There are 18+ conservative Dems who are willing to use that leverage — but we do not have 18 progressives willing to do the same. But if we buckle down, organize like hell, and fight for progressive Justice Democrats across the country, maybe we will in 2020."
