Trump Cites "Treason", Agrees to Declassify FISA

President Donald Trump went on the record with Sean Hannity on Wednesday. In an exclusive interview, Trump said its “an investigation, that never should have happened. There was no crime. And they’ve all admitted it, Comey admitted it, McCabe admitted it.” He also said: “Its a scam at the highest level.”

Trump clarified that the investigation he’s long called witch hunt went on as long as it did because he refused to put an end to it. He wanted to stay out of the way and allow the facts to clear him. Adding that those that perpetrated this failed illegal takedown need to be held responsible for their actions.

“Fifty years from now or 100 years from now, if somebody tries the same thing, they have to know that the penalty will be great,” said Trump. Noting that Attorney General Bill Barr and Senate Judiciary Chairman, Senator Lindsey Graham would be pursuing corrupt, politically biased officials in the FBI that broke the law by using false evidence to secure a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to surveil the Trump campaign.

“When I said there could be spying on my campaign, it went wild out there. If you wrote this as a novel, no one would ever believe it. It's a disgrace. This must never, never, happen to another President.” — Donald J. Trump

Regarding the abuse of the FISA Court Trump said: I do have plans to absolutely release…I have some very talented people working for me, lawyers and they really didn’t want me to do it early on…A lot of people wanted me to do it a long time ago. I’m glad I didn’t do it, they’ll call it obstruction of justice.” Regarding the declassification of the FISA warrants, Trump added: “…at the right time, we will absolutely be releasing.”

Others believe that this abuse of the FISA Court may only be corrected by abolishing the secret court altogether. On Monday, author and attorney Mark Levin, a senior Department of Justice Official in the Reagan Administration, told the “This Is America” podcast: “ I’m of the opinion that FISA might need to be abolished” in order to prevent this from ever happening again.

While rogue agents in the FBI were responsible for this abuse of our justice system for their own political motivations, others that were complicit in perpetuating this fraud on the American people were in our very own media. The very people we trust to be the arbiters of objectivity, failed when many of them too chose their own political bias, sour grapes, or lack of fact-checking in their reporting as they pushed this now-debunked narrative on a daily basis.

False accusations from reporters and commentators at CNN, which President Trump dubbed “Fake News”, ranged from suggesting that that Trump campaign colluded with the Russian Government to swing the election in his favor, to allegations that the president was himself a Russian spy. These falsehoods defied the facts as Trump has imposed more sanctions on Russia than any other president.

The president’s optimistic tone was evident as confidently responded to the recent vindication by Special Counsel Mueller’s finding that no Americans colluded with Russia in the 2016 campaign. He lauded the achievements of his administration on the economy, on weakening our enemies abroad financially through sanctions, and growing employment rates for all Americans including minority groups like African Americans and Hispanics, which have historically experienced higher jobless rates, prior to Trump’s presidency.
