In a signature show of strength, President Donald Trump figuratively threw down the gauntlet on Wednesday, challenging House Democrats on their subpoena requests.
The Washington Times reports, that "President Trump on Wednesday called House Democrats’ subpoena of former White House Counsel Don McGahn “ridiculous” and said he’ll resist any demands for administration officials to testify in the partisan investigations.
“I say it’s enough,” Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House. “We’re fighting all the subpoenas.”
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena earlier this week for Mr. McGahn, saying they want to prove his actions in defending the president in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. That investigation found no collusion between the Trump campaign in 2016 and Russian meddling in the election."
While it's inconsistent with the facts, Democrats and left-leaning pundits in the media insist that Trump must be guilty of obstructing justice.
