Trump pulls back on Iran strike because of potential death

President Trump tweeted Friday morning that he decided against retaliating Iran’s drone strike in order to avoid casualties.

“We were cocked & loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die. 150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it, not....proportionate to shooting down an unmanned drone,” Trump tweeted.
Trump also said retaliation was unnecessary at the moment because his termination of Obama’s Iran deal and “strong sanctions” has made Iran a “much weakened nation” than it was at the beginning of his Presidency.

While claiming carefulness and patience, Trump maintained a strong stance against Iran: “I am in no hurry, our Military is rebuilt, new, and ready to go, by far the best in the world,” the president tweeted. “Sanctions are biting & more added last night. Iran can NEVER have Nuclear Weapons, not against the USA, and not against the WORLD!”
